Prepared Food

Yes — prepared food and restaurant meals are taxable at the full 7.81% combined rate.

Grocery Food

Exempt from sales tax. Grocery food is exempt from the state gross receipts tax. Some local jurisdictions may still tax groceries.

Alcohol

Subject to gross receipts tax plus separate excise taxes on beer, wine, and spirits
